My Approach
I am a depth-oriented trauma therapist integrating Jungian psychology, EMDR, and somatic approaches.
My favorite kind of case work, deeply connected to personal mission, is to offer specialized support for sexual assault survivors combining inner work and practical guidance around boundary setting and the prevention of further consent ruptures.
This is supported by my professional guidance through legal processes with attention to both practical and psychological dimensions—as I know this world well I am well-networked with crisis centers and professional legal help.
I also love doing couples work exploring relationship patterns and attachment through a depth perspective, especially in the aftermath of consent ruptures.
I often do crisis intervention that addresses both immediate needs and deeper patterns—my colleagues will often refer difficult cases to me that have included psychedelic psychosis, active suicidal ideation, debilitating chronic illness, active eating disorders and immediate legal trouble. While I will always refer out to a higher standard of care for life threatening situations I am trusted for my risk assessment in cases of intensity.

FAQs
-
No, I do not take any form of insurance at this time.
-
I have a client-centered approach and while I sometimes work with minors I rarely work with anyone under 12. My belief is a family-systems approach works best to support young people, and would rather work with parents to support their children than work with children alone.

I will set aside a full 50-minute therapeutic hour so you can experience my full depth of presence in the general time container I use. We can discuss what your hopes are, and what you desire in a best case fit professional relationship. This often becomes a free consultation service. I am happy to share my best advice for aligned practitioners for you if I am not the right fit at this time.

Depth and intensity are my specialty. The notion that trauma fits into neat bifurcated categories strikes me as deeply untrue. Sexual assault and eating disorders are more often interrelated than not. Consent ruptures in the present often point to patterns of boundary violation in childhood. What I am good at is staying with pain and intensity until it abates, and tailoring my approach to the needs that arise for the client.

I tend to be bold and direct, but hold my honesty with a lot of love. I believe in deep listening coupled with the willingness to reflect to you my opinions of your blind spots and growth edges. I always prioritize the goals and agenda of the client over my wishes for you, though I’ll be honest about what I consider best practices. My deep awareness that healing processes are personal, and my true desire for each person to get the care they need mean I am not attached to any one way, or even that I need to be the expert along the way. I am networked with lots of professionals I deeply respect and am happy to be here for a chapter of your journey, and refer out when I think there might be someone who is a better fit for the moment you are in.

My background in legal work and entertainment consulting mean that I am uniquely situated to communicate with people who have legal trouble who are in the public eye. The theme that has emerged in recent years is that I tend to be asked to help when there is an assault case in the media. I have worked both with victims and perpetrators and have a deep understanding that those who do harmful things are in pain themselves. I believe so deeply in trying to solve the problem of sexual assault and child molestation in the world that it is important to me to work on prevention and changed behaviors.
